The goal of Universidad de Manila is to generate graduates who are employable, hence its programs and courses are created to give students the information and abilities needed for fulfilling careers. The university supports SDG 8 by preparing a workforce capable of actively participating in economic growth through the provision of a high-quality education. It also collaborates with various local government initiatives and projects, like Kalinga sa Maynila, which is under the Public Employment Services Office (PESO) and aims to provide decent work opportunities.
TESDA has accredited UDM’s very own Center for Micro-credentialing and Industry Training (CMIT) as a center for training and assessment. The department works to improve people’s abilities and provide entrepreneurial training, especially to young people who are not in school, in order to get them ready for the workforce and business prospects.
