The Universidad de Manila Faculty Association (UDM–FA) has taken a significant step in
reinforcing its commitment to faculty welfare and institutional development by ratifying an
updated version of its Constitution and By–Laws. This revision highlights the association’s
dedication to promoting the rights and privileges of its members while ensuring alignment with
the university’s vision and mission.
The UDM–FA serves as the official representative of the faculty in administrative matters,
advocating for faculty development and establishing a harmonious relationship with the
university administration. The updated Constitution emphasizes the protection of individual and
collective rights, the promotion of professional growth, and the enhancement of social and
economic well–being for all members.
In addition to addressing members’ rights, the updated By–Laws include provisions for fostering
camaraderie, ensuring transparency in faculty governance, and strengthening the association’s
role as a key partner in delivering quality education to Manila’s youth.
The association, which remains non–political and non–sectarian, continues to uphold the values
of professionalism and morality, encouraging active participation from its members.
