On November 29, 2024, from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, the Nursing Student Council (NSC), in collaboration with the Gender and Development (GAD), office College of Health Sciences (CHS) Student Council and the Physical Therapy (PT) Student Council, launched the community extension program “Together Against Hunger: A Meal, A Moment of Care” at Barangay 790, Sta. Ana, Manila. In a heartfelt demonstration of solidarity and compassion, this initiative was dedicated to providing nourishing meals and creating meaningful moments for the residents of the barangay, as we unite for a hunger-free future.
In celebration of National Children’s Month, the event featured sweet treats for the children of the barangay, bringing joy to their faces with the support of the CHS and PT Student Councils. These small acts of kindness were more than just about food; they were about creating lasting memories and sharing moments of happiness with the young ones in our community.
As we strive toward a world where no one goes hungry, this event served as a reminder that even a simple meal, shared with compassion, can make a significant impact. Through community engagement and care, we continue to work together to promote the well-being of all, especially those most in need.
This program was a true reflection of how small gestures of kindness can make big differences, reinforcing our collective commitment to improving the lives of others and creating a healthier, more supportive society.
