Abstract
This study examines the transformative effects of the ClinicCare system on healthcare services at the Universidad de Manila Medical and Dental Clinic. Developed to address inefficiencies in manual patient record management, the system automates processes, enhances communication, and improves prioritization of special cases, ultimately aiming to deliver quality healthcare to the university community. The study evaluates the system’s impact on efficiency, accuracy, accessibility, and user experience, using both quantitative and qualitative methods. The methodology involved a pre- and post-assessment design, utilizing researcher-developed questionnaires and semi-structured interviews with the clinic’s healthcare staff. Quantitative data were gathered across four metrics (efficiency, accuracy, accessibility, and user experience) and analyzed through weighted means to determine improvements after the system’s implementation. Qualitative data were synthesized from interviews with nurses and the doctor to complement numerical findings. Results reveal significant improvements in all metrics. The ClinicCare system was rated as “very efficient,” “very accurate,” “very accessible,” and resulted in “very satisfied” users, highlighting its ability to streamline workflows, reduce errors, improve record accessibility, and enhance satisfaction among users. Interviews further emphasized these impacts, with respondents noting faster record retrieval, better prioritization of urgent cases, and increased time for patient care. Challenges, such as initial adaptation to the system, were minimal and resolved with training. This study underscores the critical role of technology in modern healthcare management. ClinicCare’s implementation not only improved the clinic’s operational efficiency but also elevated the quality of care provided to students and staff, demonstrating its value as a model for other institutions aiming to enhance healthcare services through digital innovation. Future enhancements, such as integrating analytics and notification features, are recommended to sustain its impact.
