Manila, Philippines — In a significant milestone, Universidad de Manila (UDM) proudly
announces the Level II accreditation of seven academic programs by the Association of Local
Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (ALCUCOA). This achievement is a
testament to UDM’s unwavering commitment to delivering high–quality education and advancing
academic excellence.
• Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) Major in Economics
• BSBA Major in Human Resource Development Management
• BSBA Major in Marketing Management
experiences for its students. The process involved a comprehensive evaluation of governance,
faculty, curriculum, student services, employability, extension programs, research, and facilities,
ensuring that these programs meet or exceed the high standards set by ALCUCOA.
The Level II accreditation is not just a recognition of the quality of UDM’s academic offerings
but also a stepping stone toward further advancements in the university’s educational services.
“Receiving this accreditation is a major milestone for UDM, and while we celebrate this
achievement, we are already looking ahead to our long–term goal of attaining even higher levels
of accreditation,” said UDM President Dr. Ma. Felma Carlos–Tria.
The official awarding ceremony took place on February 12, 2024, at the UDM Justice Cecilia
Muñoz Palma Hall, with notable attendees including Dr. Carlos–Tria, Vice Mayor Yul Servo
Nieto, and Dr. Ronald Herrera, UDM’s Vice President for Academic Affairs. The event was a
celebration of UDM’s commitment to academic excellence and its alignment with Sustainable
Development Goal 4 (SDG 4), which focuses on ensuring inclusive and equitable quality
education for all.
