UDM President Dr. Ma. Felma Carlos-Tria emphasized the importance of gender diversity in leadership, stating, “Women play a crucial role in shaping the academic landscape. Our university’s strong representation of women in senior positions demonstrates our commitment to gender equality and creating a more inclusive academic community.”
A Step Toward Gender Equality
UDM’s efforts to promote gender equality in academia extend beyond numbers. This initiative not only empowers women but also enriches the university’s academic and leadership culture.
Leading by Example
As UDM continues to expand its gender equality efforts, the university sets an example for other institutions in the Philippines and beyond. By promoting women to senior academic positions, UDM reinforces the message that gender equality is not just a goal, but a practice that strengthens institutions and fosters a more dynamic and inclusive academic environment.
Looking Ahead
With strong representation of women in leadership positions, UDM is well-positioned to continue its mission of advancing gender equality. The university’s commitment to empowering women in academia is a key component of its broader efforts to promote diversity, inclusion, and excellence in education.
