In 2022, the Universidad de Manila (UDM) proudly announced that out of its 2,587 graduates, 1,605 were female, reflecting significant strides toward gender equality in education. Aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 5 (SDG 5) – Gender Equality, this report highlights UDM’s success in fostering an inclusive academic environment where women excel across various disciplines.
The report provides a breakdown of female graduates across key programs:
- 211 female graduates out of 426 STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) graduates
- 498 female graduates out of 669 ABM (Accountancy, Business, and Management) graduates
- 896 female graduates out of 1,492 HUMSS (Humanities and Social Sciences) graduates
The high proportion of female graduates in traditionally male-dominated fields such as STEM is particularly notable, showcasing UDM’s commitment to empowering women in diverse academic disciplines. This milestone reinforces the university’s role in promoting gender equality and advancing opportunities for women in higher education.
