Manila Recognizes UdM President Felma Carlos-Tria’s Historic Achievement at Global Forum

June 3, 2024 — The local government of Manila has proudly acknowledged the remarkable achievement of Universidad de Manila (UDM) President Felma Carlos-Tria, who was recently invited to speak at the prestigious 11th World Women University Presidents Forum in China. Tria’s participation marks a historic moment as she becomes the first Filipina delegate to represent the Philippines in the forum’s history.

Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna praised Tria’s significant role at the forum, emphasizing UDM’s rising reputation, now comparable to that of private universities. UDM, a public institution managed by the Manila city government, continues to provide free tuition to deserving students, reinforcing its commitment to accessible education.
