ClinicCare System Garners Positive Responses from Faculty and Students
The implementation of the ClinicCare Patient Record Management System at the Universidad de Manila has received enthusiastic feedback from both faculty and students, highlighting its significant impact on accessibility, efficiency, and overall healthcare service delivery.
Faculty Perspective
Faculty members have expressed appreciation for how ClinicCare has improved their ability to support students and manage medical concerns. According to Eng’r Emmanuel Ordoña, a faculty member from the College of Engineering and Technology (CET), “With ClinicCare, scheduling appointments and accessing medical records has become much faster and more efficient. As a faculty member, I’ve noticed that students no longer have to skip classes to resolve medical issues because the system ensures quick processing. It has truly streamlined healthcare services in ways we didn’t think were possible before.”
Eng’r Ordoña also shared, “The ClinicCare system has been a game-changer for us as faculty. It’s much easier to coordinate with the clinic when a student has health issues because the records are accurate and accessible. This allows us to provide the right support without unnecessary delays. Knowing that students’ well-being is being prioritized gives us peace of mind and strengthens our trust in the system.”
Student Perspective
Students have equally benefited from the innovative system, which has addressed many of the inefficiencies they previously faced. “The ClinicCare system has made it so much easier to access healthcare services. I no longer have to wait in long lines or worry about misplaced records. It’s reassuring to know that my information is secure, and the clinic staff can prioritize urgent cases, which shows they really care about our needs,” Ms. Christine Joy Corminal, a College of Engineering and Technology (CET) student noted.
Another CET student, Ms. Kritie Marni Ramos highlighted the convenience of the system, stating, “Before ClinicCare, getting a consultation was a hassle, but now everything is so organized. The process is quick, and I feel confident that my medical records are safe. It’s also great to see how urgent cases are handled immediately, which wasn’t always the case before. Overall, it’s a huge improvement.”
Alignment with National Priorities
Eng’r Ordoña also recognized the program’s alignment with the government’s digital transformation agenda. “The government has been advocating for the adoption of digital solutions in public service, and ClinicCare is a perfect example of this initiative in action. Its compliance with the Philippines Data Privacy Act not only ensures legal adherence but also builds confidence in the system’s ability to protect personal data. This makes it a credible and progressive model for other universities and organizations striving for similar goals”.
A Step Toward Better Healthcare
The ClinicCare system stands as a testament to UDM’s commitment to improving healthcare services through technology. By addressing the needs of both students and faculty, the program reinforces the university’s vision of delivering efficient and secure healthcare while aligning with broader national priorities for digital innovation. The overwhelmingly positive responses underscore its success as a model for institutional transformation in the education sector.
