Fostering Community Engagement: UDM’s URELIA Visit to Sta. Ana, Manila
On Oct. 15, 2024, the University Research, Extension Linkage, and International Affairs (URELIA), led by Director Dr. Leila Gano and her team, successfully conducted an initial visit to Brgy. 790, Zone 86, Sta. Ana, Manila, as part of the University’s extension program. This visit marks the beginning of a long-term partnership aimed at strengthening community engagement and development through collaborative efforts.
During the visit, the URELIA team met the barangay secretary, Maria Carmen Magsino, along with key barangay officials and community leaders. The purpose of the meeting was to introduce the institution’s initiatives and explore potential areas of collaboration for future community development projects. This meeting fostered a positive atmosphere of open communication and cooperation, laying the foundation for future activities aimed at serving the needs and aspirations of Brgy. 790.
The partnership is expected to continue working closely with barangay leaders to ensure that projects align with the specific needs of residents.
