In celebration of Araw ng Maynila, the City Government of Manila is set to launch a significant tree planting initiative on June 16, 2023, at 7:00 AM. This citywide effort is a part of a broader campaign to foster sustainability and enhance the city’s green spaces, ensuring a magnificent and environmentally-friendly Manila for generations to come.
The simultaneous tree planting activities will be held across several key locations, including Arroceros Forest Park, Roxas Boulevard Service Road, and multiple center islands such as those along Lacson Avenue and R. Magsaysay Boulevard. The initiative encourages all members of the community to participate, symbolizing unity in the quest for a greener and more sustainable urban environment.
Participants are invited to document their tree planting experiences and share them on social media using the hashtag #MNLCityWideTreePlanting. This not only amplifies the collective effort but also inspires others to join in the city’s green movement.
By planting trees, the citizens of Manila are taking a proactive step towards combating climate change, reducing urban heat, and improving air quality. This event is more than just an environmental activity; it is a celebration of community spirit and a commitment to creating a greener Manila.
Join the City of Manila in this meaningful endeavor and be a part of the change towards a sustainable future.
