University Identity Course (UID)
University Identity Courses are offered in the curriculum to make a UDM graduate unique who embodies the University Core values and specifically to
1) develop pride and civic responsibility to the in the Manileño youth.
2) look at the student’s own life and to evaluate his own actions and decisions anchored on moral values, practice ethical actions with emphasis on representing the university culture and integrity.
3) prepare students with capabilities of becoming economic, productive individuals, develop suitable livelihood, and contribute to a peaceful and democratic society and enhance individual well-being.
4) instill the significance of collaborating with others and working as a team towards the achievement of specific goals and teach the value of loyalty, teamwork, hard work and eventually success among students.
5) discuss how passion inspires and drives people toward specific goals despite hurdles and difficulties and aims to generate enthusiasm among students towards plowing their obstacles and overcoming challenges by setting high performance standards, staying up to date with the skills, knowledge, and other qualities necessary in the achievement of set goals.
6) teach students to become innovative leaders who have visions of the future, looking not just for immediate success but also at long-term goals and discuss the qualities important to effective leadership which include resolving conflicts and managing resources.
