Ceremonial Partnership Agreement Signing for Multi-stakeholder Advisory Council Marks Major Collaboration Milestone

Quezon City, Philippines — A significant step towards fostering collaboration and addressing community challenges was taken on June 25, 2024, with the Ceremonial Partnership Agreement signing for the Multi-stakeholder Advisory Council (MSAC). The event, held at Ardenhills Suites, Sct. Albano, Timog, Quezon City, was organized by the Department of Interior and Local Government National Capital Region (DILG-NCR) and brought together key stakeholders in education and governance.

The agreement highlights the vital role that local and state colleges and universities play in the community, particularly through their mandates on capacity development, community extension, and research programs. Among the institutions recognized for their contributions was Universidad de Manila (UDM), represented by its President, Dr. Ma. Felma Carlos Tria. This collaboration aligns with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 17 – Partnership for the Goals, emphasizing the importance of partnerships in achieving sustainable and inclusive progress.

The signing ceremony marked the formalization of a united approach to addressing the challenges facing communities within the National Capital Region (NCR).
