In support of SDG 4 – Quality Education, the Universidad De Manila (UDM), through its Center for Microcredentialing and Industry Training, held the Bread and Pastry Graduation – Batch 2 at the Manila Youth Reception Center, celebrating the successful completion of its vocational training program in baking and confectionery.
Present during the ceremony were leaders from the Center for Microcredentialing and Industry Training, alongside the UDM President, Dr. Ma. Felma Carlos-Tria who recognized the graduates for their determination, discipline, and commitment to self-improvement.
The Bread and Pastry Production program serves as a pathway to livelihood, equipping participants with hands-on skills for employment, home-based microbusinesses, and food enterprise opportunities. More than a ceremony, the event marked the beginning of economic independence for learners who now possess marketable skills that can uplift their families and communities.
By offering accessible, industry-relevant training, UDM affirms that education is not confined to degree programs—it also includes technical and vocational learning that leads directly to income generation.
Through programs like this, UDM stands firm in its mission to champion inclusivity, lifelong learning, and workforce readiness, ensuring that no learner is left behind in the pursuit of progress.
