Aligned with SDG 5 – Gender Equality, specifically SDG 5.3 on Mentoring, Universidad De Manila conducted an In-House Training on AI Tools in Education for the College of Criminal Justice (CCJ) and the College of Health Sciences (CHS) on April 8, 2025, at the Computer Laboratory, Amba. Chua Wing.
A total of 14 regular faculty members participated in the program, which introduced practical applications of artificial intelligence-powered platforms for lesson planning, assessment design, research support, and classroom engagement.
Beyond technical instruction, the session functioned as a mentorship-driven learning space, where tech-savvy educators coached peers through hands-on demonstrations and collaborative exercises. Faculty members exchanged strategies on how to integrate responsible AI usage into their teaching practice, particularly in subjects involving law enforcement, health care, and ethics-sensitive content.
By empowering both male and female faculty with equal access to digital innovation, the initiative fosters inclusive professional growth and ensures that no educator is left behind in the wave of educational technology advancement.
This training strengthens UDM’s commitment to future-ready instruction, reinforcing AI not as a replacement for human teaching—but as a support system guided by empowered, well-trained mentors.
