From July 23 to August 7, 2025, Mark Bryan Medalla, a 1st year Bachelor of Public Administration student from Universidad De Manila, proudly represented both UDM and the Philippines as a delegate to the Jubilee of Youth 2025 held in Rome, Italy.
A scholar of the Canossa Tondo Children’s Foundation, Mark Bryan’s participation reflects the transformative power of educational access and social support in uplifting youth from underserved communities. His inclusion in an international gathering of young leaders signifies UDM’s role in nurturing globally aware, socially conscious Filipino scholars.
In alignment with SDG 5 – Gender Equality, this milestone illustrates how scholarship programs contribute to equitable opportunity, allowing both men and women from marginalized backgrounds to take part in global dialogues on faith, leadership, and social responsibility. Mark Bryan’s journey stands as a testament that empowerment through education is not limited by economic or geographical status.
His presence in Rome is more than a personal achievement — it marks UDM’s growing impact on the world stage, proving that students from public institutions can stand shoulder to shoulder with global youth leaders when given access, guidance, and belief.
From Tondo to Rome — proof that dreams become missions when education opens the door.
