UDM Nursing Students Lead Generic Awareness Program to Strengthen Health Education and Preventive Action on Campus
On September 3, 2025, the CHS Nursing Students – NR 32 Group 9B, in collaboration with the UDM Clinic Staff, conducted a Generic Awareness Program across the Universidad de Manila Lobby and selected classrooms, engaging UDM students in a dynamic and informative series of health-focused learning sessions.
Aligned with SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-Being, the initiative aimed to inform, educate, and empower students on pressing health topics affecting both individuals and communities. Through lectures, presentations, open discussions, and interactive activities, participants were introduced to preventive strategies, health-seeking behaviors, and campus-based support services.
This type of awareness training plays an essential role in shaping health-conscious citizens, particularly within a university population where lifestyle habits, stress, and limited medical access can contribute to illness or long-term health risks.
More than a one-day program, the activity fostered peer-led advocacy, proving that UDM students are not just recipients of health campaigns—but active mobilizers of well-being and safety within their institution.
