On August 30, 2025, Palma Hall of Universidad De Manila became a venue for solidarity and empowerment as NARS Incorporated, in partnership with CHS faculty and student leaders, hosted UDM Health Partners Day under the powerful theme:
“NURSES’ RIGHTS = NURSES’ POWER — Use Your Voice, Speak Up!”
Running from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, the event gathered nurses, nursing students, and health advocates for a full day dedicated to strengthening advocacy, labor protection, and professional dignity in the nursing sector.
Aligned with SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-Being, the program emphasized that healthcare systems cannot thrive if the well-being of nurses is overlooked. Advocates stressed that patient care and public health are directly dependent on how well the rights of caregivers are protected.
Through inspirational talks, breakout discussions, and collaborative forums, speakers and participants addressed key issues such as:
- Safe working conditions and fair compensation
- Mental health support for healthcare workers
- Legal and ethical protections for nurses in clinical settings
- Empowering future nurses to speak up against abuse, burnout, and exploitation
The rallying message was clear: Nurses are not just providers of care—they are pillars of the health system. When they are educated, protected, and heard, entire communities benefit.
The event concluded with a collective affirmation that advocacy is not defiance—it is a duty to the profession and the public.
