
TESDA-Manila Officials Visit Universidad de Manila to Strengthen Partnership and Future Collaboration

Representatives from the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Manila District Office, led by Director Lorrienne Judith Marie G. Juanani, together with Vignette D. Navasero and Cynthia R. Guamos, visited the Universidad de Manila (UDM) to discuss collaborative plans aimed at enhancing technical-vocational education and workforce development in the city.
During the meeting, the TESDA officials engaged in a productive dialogue with UDM administrators headed by its President, Dr. Ma. Felma Carlos-Tria with her is the Asst. Director of CMIT, Dr. Virginia I. Berganio and Atty. Christian Patrick Labajoy, to explore areas of cooperation in skills training, assessment, certification, and capacity-building programs. The discussion focused on aligning UDM’s existing courses and laboratories with TESDA’s competency standards to expand access to TESDA-accredited programs for both students and community learners.
Director Juanani emphasized TESDA’s commitment to building strong partnerships with local higher education institutions like UDM to promote lifelong learning, employability, and inclusive economic growth. She also expressed optimism that this partnership will serve as a model for integrating technical-vocational education and higher education pathways within the city.
