On December 12, 2025, a one-day Skills Enhancement Activity was successfully conducted at the Admin Hall, made possible through the generous sponsorship and support of TESDA Manila. The activity aimed to promote practical skills development and employee wellness among Universidad de Manila (UDM) employees, integrating livelihood-oriented training with health and wellness services.
The program featured hands-on training on the production of dishwashing liquid, providing participants with valuable technical knowledge that can be applied for home use or potential livelihood opportunities. In addition, aesthetic and wellness services were offered, including hydro-facial treatments and acupuncture sessions, contributing to the physical well-being and stress management of UDM personnel.
Sincere appreciation is extended to Beauty Trend Center and the Philippines Association of Wellness and Aesthetic Inc. (PAWA), led by the owner, Ms. Irish Joy Dames, together with their dedicated staff, for sharing their expertise and delivering quality services throughout the activity.
Heartfelt thanks are also given to TESDA Manila, headed by Director Lorriene Judith Marie Juanani, and her committed staff for their continued support in advancing skills development initiatives within the university. Special recognition is likewise accorded to HRDL Head Dr. Carpo, GAD Head Dr. Bernal, Assistant Director of CMIT Dr. Virginia I. Berganio, and Engr. Valeroso of the MED for their leadership, coordination, and active involvement in ensuring the success of the event.
This meaningful collaboration reflects UDM’s continuing commitment to employee development, wellness, and inclusive capacity-building through strong partnerships with TESDA and industry stakeholders.
