The Universidad de Manila (UDM) has officially partnered with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to provide quality academic and practical training under the Associate in Barangay Governance Program (ABG).
This ABG program at UDM is the first of its kind in the City of Manila! It formalizes academic and field-based learning experiences through lectures, trainings, immersion, and practical application of governance skills, with expertise provided by DILG resource persons.
Under the leadership of UDM President Ma. Felma Carlos-Tria, UDM meticulously designed and developed a curriculum in alignment with DILG policies. This ensures that all students will meet the high standards and ethical requirements set for promoting good governance—essential for incumbent barangay officials and future local government practitioners and leaders.
The landmark MOA was signed today, November 20, 2025, by UDM President Ma. Felma Carlos-Tria and DILG – Manila City Director, Hon. Marco Augusto G. Cabueños.
🎓 Enrollment is Now Open!
We invite all Manila incumbent barangay officials and upcoming Manila local government practitioners and leaders to enroll!
UDM is excited to lead this initiative, with future plans to expand the program to cater to neighboring cities.
