The Universidad de Manila (UDM) proudly celebrated its 27th Commencement Exercises at the Marriott Hotel on July 29,2025, marking a milestone in advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals — SDG1 No Poverty and SDG4 Quality Education.
A total of 419 graduates from the Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd) and Bachelor of Physical Education (BPEd) programs successfully completed their teacher education training, emerging as graduates with relevant qualifications for teaching in both public and private schools.
These graduates are equipped with strong pedagogical knowledge, discipline expertise, and the values of excellence, integrity, and public service that define UDM. Their education empowers them to uplift communities by providing access to quality learning, aligning with SDG1 No Poverty by improving employability and SDG4 Quality Education by ensuring competent, ethical, and compassionate teachers serve future generations.
In his congratulatory message, university officials underscored that these new educators embody UDM’s mission of transformative education — one that not only strengthens the teaching profession but also builds a more equitable society through knowledge, empathy, and lifelong learning.
