In support of SDG 5 – Gender Equality, particularly SDG 5.3 on Mentoring, Universidad De Manila held a Faculty Reorientation Training on the UDM Learning Management System (LMS) on August 19–20, 2025, at the Computer Laboratory, Amba. Chua Wing.
A total of 68 regular faculty members participated in the two-day retooling program, which focused on enhancing competency in digital instruction, student monitoring, and online assessment management. The training covered LMS navigation, course content structuring, analytics tracking for student engagement, and integration of multimedia teaching resources.
More than a technical refresher, the activity served as a peer mentoring platform, where experienced LMS users guided colleagues through troubleshooting and best practices. Veteran faculty shared real-life strategies on sustaining student motivation and accessibility in blended and fully online setups, ensuring that both male and female educators receive equal support in adapting to evolving learning environments.
By investing in continuous faculty development and mentorship, UDM reinforces its commitment to inclusive, future-ready education—where digital tools become instruments not just of instruction, but of equity and empowerment.
