UDM Prepares Future Frontliners Through CHS General Orientation for Hospital Deployment
On July 31, 2025, the College of Health Sciences (CHS) of Universidad De Manila (UDM) conducted its General Orientation for Hospital Training for 120 Level III Nursing Students, held at the UDM New Building, Rooms 304 and 305. The session was spearheaded by CHS nursing faculty, administrators, and support staff, ensuring that every participant received thorough guidance before entering their assigned clinical facility — JASGEN Hospital.
The orientation introduced hospital protocols, patient care responsibilities, professional conduct standards, and safety practices, equipping students for the realities of hospital work. This transition marks a significant phase in their formation, shifting them from academic preparation to active participation in real-world healthcare service.
Aligned with SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-Being, the program highlights UDM’s role in strengthening the national health workforce pipeline. By preparing competent and compassionate student nurses for clinical exposure, the university contributes directly to hospital readiness, patient welfare, and long-term healthcare sustainability.
Armed with knowledge, discipline, and empathy, these nursing students are now one step closer to becoming full-fledged members of the healthcare system — ready to serve communities with both skill and heart.
