As part of its ongoing commitment to SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-Being, specifically Indicator 3.3.5 on Mental Health Support, Universidad De Manila (UDM) held a motivational seminar titled “Take Charge: Cultivating Confidence and Achieving Goals” on February 6, 2024, at the UDM University Library.
Organized by Ms. April Joy P. Domingo, Guidance Coordinator of the UDM Guidance, Counseling and Psychological Services Office, the activity was conducted in celebration of International Boost Self-Esteem Month. The seminar was attended by 107 UDM students who actively participated in discussions and reflective exercises designed to strengthen self-belief, clarify personal goals, and build resilience in facing academic and personal setbacks.
The program emphasized that mental health support goes beyond crisis intervention—it also involves building positive self-worth, motivation, and goal-directed behavior. By empowering students to recognize their strengths and advocate for themselves, UDM reinforced its commitment to holistic education where emotional well-being and academic success go hand in hand.
The session concluded with an encouraging call to action: Take charge of your journey — with confidence, clarity, and courage.
