COLLEGE OF BUSINESS AND MANAGEMENT

HISTORY OF THE COLLEGE OF BUSINESS AND MANAGEMENT

The College of Business and Management (CBM) traces its roots to 1995, when it was established through City Ordinance No. 7885 as the School of Business Administration.  In its early years, the College continuously enhanced its academic offerings through curriculum revisions and the introduction of co-curricular and extracurricular programs aimed at providing students with a holistic business education.

From 2001 to 2004, the institution was reorganized as the School of Business, Public Administration and Accountancy, during which the Public Administration Special Program and the Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship were introduced, further expanding its academic portfolio.

As
the University continued to evolve, the school was elevated into the College of Business Administration (CBA), strengthening its role in developing competent business professionals and entrepreneurial leaders.  In 2025, in recognition of its expanded academic offerings, the College was renamed the College of Business and Public Management (CBPM).  However, following the transfer of the Public Administration Program to academic unit, the College officially adopted its present name, the College of Business and Management (CBM).

In 2026, the Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management was likewise transferred to a separate college, allowing CBM to focus exclusively on its core business disciplines.

Today, the College of Business and Management offers four undergraduate degree programs:
