Association of Local Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (ALCUCOA)

In its almost 27-year history, Universidad de Manila finally gets ALCUCOA accreditation for 16 of its program offerings:

Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Social Studies
Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Mathematics
Bachelor of Secondary Education major in General Science
Bachelor of Physical Education major in School Physical Education
Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English
Bachelor of Science in Social Work
Bachelor of Arts in Political Science
Bachelor in Public Administration
Bachelor of Science in Psychology
Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship
Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Economics
Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Marketing Management
Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Human Resource Management

The Association of Local Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (ALCUCOA) is the accreditation agency of local government universities and colleges. It is recognized by the Commission on Higher Education to examine the educational operations of universities in the local governmennt if it is operating above or within the standards set for higher education institutions. According to ALCUCOA, UDM’s move to subject said 18 programs to simultaneous accreditation is the most number ever to be accredited by the Association.

During the Presentation and Confirmation of Accreditation earlier today, 28 January 2022, ALCUCOA President and Executive Director Dr. Raymundo P. Arcega, CESE personally awarded the Certificates of Accreditation to UDM President Dr. Ma. Felma Carlos-Tria.

Universidad de Manila (UDM) welcomed the ALCUCOA Accreditors for their Level 1 Accreditation Visit from November 8 to 10. It was followed by a courtesy call to Mayor Maria Sheilah “Honey” Lacuna-Pangan and Vice Mayor John Marvin “Yul Servo” Nieto together with the University President Dr. Ma. Felma Carlos-Tria and the UDM Executive Committee.

Mayor Honey shared her aspirations for the University as well as her commendation on the positive changes made by Dr. Tria and the UDM Workforce. The University aims to provide quality education following its achievements in the local and international arena through competent faculty members — all towards uplifting the lives of the Manileños.
