College of Engineering (CET) History

The College of Engineering and Technology was one of the departments initially established in 1995 There were various courses offered such as; BS in Civil Engineering, BS in Electrical Engineering, BS in Electronics Engineering, BS in Industrial Engineering, BS in Computer Engineering, and BS in Computer Science. Presently, the CET offers BS in Electronics Engineering and BS in Computer Engineering, the only programs retained since the college’s establishment. The BS in Information Technology also presently offered by the University replaced BS in Computer Science Years later, other fields of specialization such as Data Science and Cybersecurity were added to BSIT.

Mission

We are in pursuit of excellence in the areas of Engineering and Technology to produce skilled and globally competitive Engineers and other technical professionals who are imbued with a pioneering spirit and Christian attributes and cognizant of their social responsibility put to work through meaningful community extension programs and their paramount role in nation-building.

Vision

A leader in engineering and technological education, molding its students to their fullest potential with the aid of state-of-the-art instructional paraphernalia and teaching methods, as well as an active participant in the continuous refinement process of Engineering and Technology curricula in the close collaboration with other high educational institutions, industries, and the government.

  • The Communication Tower represents the Electronics and Communications Engineering programs
  • The Chips and Circuit Boards represent the Computer Engineering and IT programs
  • The Maple Leaf symbolizes strength and endurance, which color turns from green to yellow or orange
  • The Roman Numerals MCMXCV translates to 1995, the year the University was established

CET Color

The College of Engineering and Technology is represented by the color Orange stimulating the intensity in systems development, rising infrastructures, and digitization that its students and faculty are known for. As a mood-lifting color, it also creates an image of optimistic innovation.
